Zodiac Academy Technical Training
SAN DIEGO – September 9, 2014 –Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc. (@ZodiacPool_USA) has officially launched Zodiac Academy, a new technical training program designed to provide pool professionals a competitive edge on product installation, service, repair and troubleshooting. Zodiac Academy began its efforts last month with the first of more than 70 live technical service schools. The schools will be conducted in cities across the United States and Canada through May 2015, offering affordable two-day training sessions on a variety of products including market-specific items. During the summer pool season, webinars and video training will be available for pool pros to use as time permits.
Zodiac Academy Technical Service Schools are being offered for $100 per day to small classes of between 30-35 pool professionals in each location. Veteran pool professionals Rocco Russo, Alex Krajewski and Gary Scott, who have over 70 years of combined experience in the industry, will lead courses on gas heaters, chlorine generators, variable speed pumps, automation, and lighting with hands-on simulators and specially developed education modules. The Zodiac Academy technical training program is the latest in Zodiac Pool Systems' efforts to enhance partnerships with pool retailers, builders, distributors and service technicians by investing in product training and professional development initiatives.
"Recognizing the importance of training in the industry, Zodiac is making a significant investment and putting our most experienced trainers in the field and a comprehensive set of resources online," said Troy Franzen, managing director of Zodiac Pool Systems-Americas. "Our goal is to raise the level of knowledge and achievement for those in the field who really keep the industry alive."
Each training session will also host a "wild-card" market-specific course such as local information on energy regulations or dealing with specific debris problems. Zodiac Academy attendees will be provided with technical workbooks and a specialty toolkit for working on Jandy® Pro Series, Polaris® and Zodiac® products and may earn Association of Pool & Spa Professionals credits for courses completed.
"Through Zodiac Academy we hope to increase access to affordable, high-quality training across the country," said Scott Ferguson, director of marketing and training at Zodiac Pool Systems. "This program is intended to equip pool professionals with technical know-how to fuel their success. It's an absolute win-win."
Zodiac Academy will also continue to offer technical training webinars, and will soon launch a library of troubleshooting videos and a complete online learning system, allowing pool and spa professionals to learn at their own pace and with the utmost of convenience.
